And what the heck does a Wedding Planner actually do??? After you’re manicure chips from showing off that BLING, you’ve update your online status to “engaged”, and your parents have shed their tears of joy… Your vision for your wedding comes clear and you start the planning stages! And one of the first things to consider is whether or not you need a professional Wedding Planner.
I spoke with a Wedding Planner friend, Barbara Casuso of Eventually Yours Wedding Planners to help me answer your questions! Wedding Planners lighten your load. Many couples are afraid they’ll lose their touches, creations or decor if you hire a Wedding Planner… Nothing could be farther from the truth. Your planner will help you EXECUTE your vision, not take it away. You still get to do everything you want (and all of the fun things) and save time doing them because your planner does the legwork for you!
A planner manages your timelines for you… They walk you through when to send “save the dates” and when to expect your RSVPs back. They design your timeline for your wedding day and help you determine exactly what needs to happen when. They handle wedding day fires. Something always goes not as planned, despite any efforts you have done to plan for them. Can you imagine the Mother of the Brides zipper breaking right before the ceremony? I can, I’ve seen it… Planners can literally whip anything and everything together out of dental floss and runners tape. Yes I’ve seen that too!

Many “Day of “ planners start around $500 and an average starting price for full Event Management would around $1500. Every state and area is different, these are numbers I see currently in South Florida.
